When and where to advertise? | Fresh Seams

This is big question that I seem to be struggling with. Not only, where do I need to advertise Fresh Seams but when should I begin heavy marketing campaigns. I love the thought of make Fresh Seams the best place for indie designers to showcase their shoes or clothing. With advertising, I will need to create the feeling of never-before-seen fashion and allow it to hit the eyes of the viewer that forces them to click on that banner as soon as they glance at it.

There are many sites that cater to the idea of allow users to buy and sell ad space on their website. I look forward to being able to take advantage of the opportunity to generate revenue for the site, which will all the site to afford growth and developments and allow me to quit my day job and focus solely on growing the business. Helping independent clothing and fashion designers do more with their creations is what it is all about.

It is exciting and I can not wait for the opportunity to take part in the endeavor.

What to be thankful for…? | Fresh Seams

There are some many things that are given to us that we should be thankful for. I am thankful that I am able to celebrate Thanksgiving with my family. Not to forget the fact that today is also my Birthday. I am 24 years YOUNG today. Just finished having a phone convo with an old high school friend. It feels like yesterday and I was headed to the Cyclone field house strapping on my shoulder pads and headed to the practice football field.

God has presented me with so much over the past 24 years and I am grateful for every little bit of it. I am thankful that I am able to wake up everyday breathing and with the ability to stand on my own two feet. I love that I have formed so many quality relationships with quality people over the last few months here in New Jersey. I am thankful that I get the opportunity to work with disadvantage teens and be able to impact their lives in a positive way.

One day I will look back on this moment and feel truly blessed to have risen from where I have fallen. I love to use my time and effort to help others. With Fresh Seams, I get to do just that. Helping other businesses succeed is important not only to the economy, but to the people they serve.

For those who have been there for me, I sincerely thank you for traveling on this journey with me. I pray I get the opportunity to serve those who have served me.

God bless you and your family.

What pages should a new website encrypt? | Fresh Seams

I guess I have great understanding of what types of pages that should be encrypted, but I am a little perplexed by to the exact detail of the pages that should be encrypted.

I know that pages like sign in, registration, and pages where personal information might be inputted. But what about pages that are part of a users account. I have been, for lack of a better word, STALKING other popular pages to site what types of pages web designers are encrypting. But I do not see a definitive answer to my inquiry.

I hope to talk more with my developer to come up with a feasible solution to my questions. I guess I should just wait until I see what my developer says. Anxious for the launching of the website later this week.

Be on the look out.

How long should a free trial be for a new website? | Fresh Seams

I’ve seen several online websites offer 30-day free trials. I have also seen weekly free trials and up to 90 days. I believe the whole point is to create a trial only as long as you can create a need or a user can understand how much the actually product or service is worth.

But my one question is, how can I create a trial period when I have no proof that my service will deliver buyers to the designer. It is a brand new site and I hope that I gain valuable advice from those who intend to use it more. My friend suggest that I based it on the items sold, but I think I will bypass that idea.

I will continue to think about the process and hope for the best. I want to encourage designers that Fresh Seams is the way to go. It is the place where the voice of emerging designers can be heard. I also hope they will be patient with us as the site gains traffic.

Just discovered what “beta” actually means? |

According various sites “Beta” is a term that describes a site that is built to recieve feedback as the kinks and crashes are worked out. Many use it as an excuse to say “sorry” for site crashes or other problems.

With that being said, I have made Fresh Seams into a beta site. Hopefully many of the kinks and problems will be minimized as much as possible before the site launch, but that is fairy tale land. I hope to make it a “happenin” places, where independent designers and shoppers can enjoy a safe and enjoyable e-commerce experience. Bringing fashion forward is what it is all about.

Days til’ launch are dwindling…. Fresh Seams

The site development is currently in progress. The November 6, launch date was not reach due to the aim to reach website perfection. I hope the site opens soon as developments are made and wrapped up. Stretching for a date later this month.

Fingers crossed of course.

But on a lighter note, I am really impressed with the looks of the site. The functionality and user-friendly portion is currently in effect. So I hope independent fashion designers are excited to sell their shoes or clothing on
